Sensual Sundays: Have Some “Me” Time!

During the week, we are always ripping and running.  Either busy with work, taking care of family, or just simply rushing away.  Sometimes that weekly burn out seems to intrude into our weekends as well.  By the time Saturday hits, you’re still trying to get everything done that you couldn’t during the week.  Saturday is usually an “errand heavy,” day.  When Sunday arrives, it’s time to forget about it all, and have some “me” time.  I know you always hear people say, “take some me time,” and you’re always thinking, “When do I have the time?”  Truth is, there’s never really enough time in a day to take “me” time.  That’s why you have to be a little selfish every now and then, and force your self to sit back and relax, and do something nice for yourself.  Doing something nice for yourself doesn’t have to include a lot of money.  It can be something as simple as laying in your comfiest PJ’s, sipping  a yummy hot tea, and watching your favorite DVD.  It’s apart of healthy living, and trust me,  your mind, body, and soul is begging you for these moments.

Sexy Valentine’s Day Makeup Tips from the Pro!

Happy Valentine’s Day!  Some believe today’s holiday is a bit over rated, and others are indulging in the moment of love.  Either way, there is nothing wrong with being a little festive, and playing up your look for the occasion.

Not only sexy for Valentine’s Day, but also delectable for any hot date or night out is the classic smokey eye and bold red lip.  It’s just a winning combo that never gets old.

The leading man behind Skinn Cosmetics, Dimitri James, offers a few tips to help you create this look.

It’s in the Eyes: First apply a smokey gray all over your lid, wrapping down and around your lower lash line. Then apply a darker smokey shade of gray or charcoal through the crease. Follow that up with an ivory shadow under the brow bone. 
 
NOW THE WOW: Line your entire lash line and inner tear line with Cleopatra Black Smudge Stick and ooh la la!  For the sexy cat-eye look, apply individual fake lashes to outer corner adding a healthy coat of mascara.
 
Kissable Irresistible Lips: Find the perfect shade of red to suit your coloring and don’t hold back. Go all out on the red lipstick. This year we are seeing heavier eyes accompanied by luscious lips, so don’t be shy!
 
Seductive Scent: Oh, and don’t forget to layer on some LOVE. That is the LOVE fragrance. Start with LOVE bath and shower gel then immerse yourself in LOVE body butter. Fashion Friday: Men in Optics!

The days of Steve Urkel are long gone, and men in optics has become quite the trend!  A list celebs like Brad Pitt, Kanye West, and Justin Beiber, have all been spotted sporting a great pair of frames.  There are few different types of modern spins on the optic trend, but for the most part, men have been wearing medium-sized lenses with thick black rims (as pictured above on Brad Pitt).  Every guy from the rugged and edgy  to the slick and suave can benefit from a smooth pair of glasses; a great accent piece.  Dolce & Gabbana has an excellent pair at LensCrafters!  Not necessarily a new trend, but definitely a trend that hasn’t left us yet.

I’ve always been a fan of the “all black everything” movement, and I’m sure many of you have too.  Black is that classic color that never fails us, and G-Star’s new midnight collection has great pieces that are quirky and cute!  Following on trend edgy looks from some of the Spring 2012 shows, there are  lots of cutouts, mixed fabrics, and uneven hemlines.  With a  romanticized goth collection of pieces, the midnight line can take you from day to night!
